Passenger Handhold
If the passenger handhold is not secured firmly, re-tighten the
adjusting nut and lock nut of the handhold to the specified torque in
the following procedure.
1.
Secure the lock lever tightly until it contacts the square pipe.
2.
Remove the clamp bolt cap and loosen the lock nut and adjusting
nut.
3.
Tighten the adjusting nut to the specified torque:
13 lbf·ft (17 N·m, 1.7 kgm)
4.
Tighten the lock nut to the specified torque while holding the
adjusting nut:
20 lbf·ft (26.5 N·m, 2.7 kgf·m)
5.
Install the clamp bolt cap.
6.
Adjust the handhold position (page 62).
Once the passenger handhold is adjusted correctly, pull it back and
forth to make sure it is locked in position.
Do not apply a grease or lubrication to the handhold slider surface
and cam-lock clamp.
