OPERATION
Driving Through Water
Your vehicle can drive through shallow
water. Make sure the water is no deeper
than the floor of the vehicle. Follow
these precautions when driving through
water:
1. Check water depth. Never drive
through water that is deeper than
the floor level.
2. After driving through water, test
the brakes. Apply them lightly
several times while driving slowly.
The friction will help dry out the
pads.
NOTICE: Major engine damage can result if
the vehicle is not thoroughly inspected after operation in water.
Perform the services outlined in the maintenance chart. See page
57. Give special attention to engine oil, transmission oil and all
grease fittings.
If your vehicle becomes immersed or is operated in water that
exceeds the floor level, service is required before starting the
engine. Your POLARIS dealer can provide this service. If it's
impossible to bring the vehicle in before starting the engine, perform
the service outlined on page 86, and take the vehicle in for service
at the first opportunity.
