Remove the Refrigerator Door
Remove the top hinge cover (lift up on the
outside edge and pull off).
Tape the door shut with masking tape at
both upper corners.
With 5/16hex socket driver, remove the
3 screws that hold the top hinge to the cabinet.
Lift the hinge straight up to free the hinge pin
from the socket in the top of the door. Carefully
peel the adhesive spacer from the cabinet top
and position it over the hinge holes on the
opposite side.
Remove the tape, tilt the door away from the
cabinet and lift it to free its bottom socket from
the hinge pin on the center hinge bracket.
Set the door on a non-scratching surface.
Remove the Freezer Door
Tape the door shut with masking tape at both
upper corners.
Remove the hinge pin with a 5/16hex socket
driver.
Remove the tape and tilt the door away from the
cabinet. Remove and save the washer on top of
the door socket.
Lift the door straight up to free its bottom socket
from the pin in the bottom hinge bracket.
If the hinge pin and washer stick in the bottom
door socket, remove them, place the pin in the
outermost hole in the bottom hinge bracket and
slip the washer over the pin.
NOTE: The hinge rod may fall out of the door. If this
happens, set the rod aside. It will be replaced later.
