GE - General Electric JBP28DR3BB Questions and Answers

#1 Is there a way I can leave the stove top on at a low level for over 24 hours? How about the oven itself? Rosh Hashana is approaching and I want to know if I can cook over the holiday without "lighting a fire".

This is Lisa from GE. I will be happy to assist you. The oven has an override, which will allow you to leave it on longer than 24 hours. As for the cooktop, many will leave a pan of water on a lower setting for the holiday time (for use of hot water for coffee/tea). This type operation is not an issue. Yet, cooktop surface units should not be left on high for continued days & any surface unit which is on, should have a cooking product on it also (Not left on/heating without a pan containing a food product or water). We do not recommend a piece of sheet metal in place of a pan.
I hope this helps. Thanks for checking!
