GE - General Electric PGS960EEL1ES Questions and Answers

#1 I am interested in this oven. Many of the reviews state that the stainless steel top (where the knobs are located) scratches VERY easily. Why is this and what do you recommend to fix the scratches? Thank you.

Pots and pans colliding with the Stainless Steel surface frequently can cause these scratches. We recommend the use of Cerama Bryte® stainless steel appliance cleaner on stainless steel exteriors or interiors. This can be purchased through GE Appliance Parts, 16 ounce bottle, GE Appliance part number PM10X311. We also recommend using Cerama Bryte® stainless steel wipes. The wipes can be used to clean, polish and protect stainless steel surfaces for convenient touch ups and spot cleaning. This can be purchased through GE Appliance Parts, 35 wipes per canister, GE Appliance part number WX10X10004.

We appreciate you checking with us, and we hope this information helps.

#2 Is it possible to turn off the display when not in use?

The display on this range does not turn off when it is not in use. The display however will go dim. We do apologize about any inconvenience this causes.

We appreciate you checking with us, and we hope this helps!

#3 How many watts is the convection element in this oven?

This model range requires 1,800 watts (120V x 15A).

We appreciate you checking with us, and we hope this information is of assistance!
