HOW IT WORKS
pureAir PERSONAL generates an electrostatic ion wind that
charges oating particles in the breathing zone. The charged
particles are then repelled away from the wearer creating a
breathing zone that is free of toxins like allergens, smoke, dust,
viruses and bacteria. Studies have conrmed that the pureAir
PERSONAL technology is effective in signicantly reducing
breathable particles between .04 and 3 microns, a range that
represents most viruses and bacteria. pureAir PERSONAL also
minimizes perfumes and odors.
DISCLAIMER
pureAir PERSONAL is not a medical device. Do not reduce or
eliminate any therapies or drugs prescribed by a physician while
using pureAir PERSONAL. Although pureAir PERSONAL does not
treat or cure any sickness or disease, it does reduce the risks
associated with the inhalation of airborne viruses and bacteria
much like a surgical mask. Combining the pureAir PERSONAL
with a mask has been proven to dramatically enhance the
effectiveness of particle exclusion. However, neither pureAir
PERSONAL nor any surgical or respirator mask (or the combination
of) can offer 100% protection against viral or bacterial infections.
Infectious agents can enter the body by routes other than
inhalation including skin contact and oral/food ingestion.
Public health authorities recommend frequent and thorough
hand washing.
Persons should consult a doctor before use if under treatment for
any ailments or disease. Not for use by children under 4 years old.
Not for use by pacemaker patients.
WARNINGS
Do not attempt to charge the battery. It is not rechargeable.
Do not immerse in liquids or allow uids to enter unit.
Do not open or attempt to repair the inside of the unit.
There are no user serviceable parts inside.
HOW TO USE
Refer to the REPLACING THE BATTERY section for initial installation of
the battery.
Find the switch located on the side of your pureAir PERSONAL and
slide it up into the “ON” position. The indicator light located under
the grill will blink when pureAir PERSONAL is on.
Use the included necklace to hang your pureAir PERSONAL around
your neck or use the clip to clasp it to a shirt pocket. Your pureAir
PERSONAL should be located about 6 to 8 inches beneath your
nose and the metal grill should be facing upward.
With your pureAir PERSONAL turned on and in the proper position,
you will feel the puried breeze wafting upward as you inhale.
When not in use, turn off your pureAir PERSONAL by sliding the
switch down into the “OFF” position.
NOTE: This product does not contain a fan or mechanical blower.
The airow is limited so that sensitive mucous membranes are not
affected.
NOTE: pureAir PERSONAL has limited effectiveness
in windy conditions.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If the indicator light does not come on, the battery
needs to be replaced.
If there is no breeze or airow when you turn your
pureAir PERSONAL on, the battery needs to be replaced.
If you are in a heavily polluted environment and your pureAir
PERSONAL makes a hissing sound, blow gently into the top of the
grill to dislodge dust build up.
TIP: When using your pureAir PERSONAL in a heavily polluted
environment, bend your head forward to draw in more ionized air.
REPLACING THE BATTERY
Slide the battery access door, located on the side, all the way off
exposing the used battery.
Place your nger against the positive side of the battery, push
towards the negative side and swing the positive side out.
Replace with new battery by inserting positive (+) end rst (match
positive (+) and negative (-) markings on the battery with like
markings in battery compartment) and push negative (-) end onto
its metal contact.
Using the grooved rails, slide the battery access door back on so it
clicks into place.
