#1 Why is my room air conditioner making noise?

Room Air Conditioners, during operation, may make noise. It is normal to hear ‘high pitch chatter’ a sound of rushing air, gurgle/hiss, pinging or swishing and vibration. These are all normal.

#2 How do I clean my air conditioner's air filter?

For most air conditioners, the filter can be found by opening the front panel. Since it’s a reusable filter, you can simply remove and clean using warm, soapy water. After cleaning, allow the filter to dry thoroughly before replacing it. You may also vacuum the air filter to remove excess dirt and particles.

#3 I have noticed that my ENERGY STAR air conditioner is frequently in Econ mode?

For all new ENERGY STAR products the EPA has regulated that all ENERGY STAR air conditioners must be factory set to Energy Saver (Econ) mode.
If you turn the room air conditioner off in cool mode, and restart the unit it will default back into Energy Saver mode.
You may select out of Energy Saver mode by selecting the mode button, however we recommend using the feature to help save energy.
