Blending Tips
Put liquids in the jar first, unless a recipe says otherwise.
Cut all firm fruits and vegetables into pieces no larger than
3/5 x 3/5 x 3/5-in. (1.5 x 1.5 x 1.5 cm).
Don’t overload the jar.
If the motor stops, turn the blender off immediately, unplug it, then let it
cool for at least 15 minutes. Remove a portion of the food and continue.
This blender will not mash potatoes, whip egg whites or substitute dairy
toppings, mix stiff dough, or grind raw meat.
Cleaning and maintaining your blender
The auto-clean feature cleans the blender and blade assembly easily and rapidly in
complete safety. Do the following:
Always turn the blender off and remove the plug from the outlet
before cleaning or disassembling the blender.
Pour a little warm soapy water into the jar and mix for a few seconds
by plugging in the power cord.
Remove the jar and rinse under running water.
Wipe the outer surface of the blender base with a damp cloth.
Dry all parts and reattach the blade assembly to the open end of the
jar, then place it in the blender base. Snap the jar lid on the other end
of the jar.
If you encounter any problems during use, never disassemble the blender base
yourself. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Contact an authorized service
facility for examination and repair.
Cautions
Do not use abrasive cleaners.
Never immerse the blender base in water for cleaning.
Only the jar is dishwasher safe, but washing it in the
dishwasher may dull the finish over time.
You can also wash the parts, except the blender base, in
warm, soapy water.
Caution
The blades are sharp and should not be handled.
