Thermador PRD48WLSGU Questions and Answers

#1 How to clean an oven that does not have the self-cleaning feature?

After the oven has cooled, use hot, soapy water and a nonabrasive sponge. Only use mild cleaners such as Soft Scrub, Bon-Ami, or Ajax. Rub lightly with a nonabrasive sponge and rinse thoroughly to remove any residue from the cleaners. Dry with a soft cloth.

If food has burned onto the oven and is difficult to remove, use a mild cleaner with an SOS or Brillo pad and rub gently. SOS and Brillo pads may scratch the porcelain. This does not affect the oven performance.

We do not recommend using oven cleaners because they can remain on the oven porcelain after being wiped off and can emit odors during cooking.

#2 How to prevent stains on the porcelain surface.?

Stains can occur from liquid spills. Always clean up any liquid spills in the oven. Wipe with a damp cloth and then a dry cloth to prevent stains. The porcelain can also discolor over time. This is normal and will not affect the oven's operation.

#3 How to remove the spots that remain inside the oven window after a self-clean mode?

After the oven has cooled, wash the glass with hot, soapy water and a nonabrasive sponge. Squeeze most of the water out before wiping. Rinse the glass and dry. You can also use a glass cleaner if needed
