#1 How do I zoom out the map screen while driving. Every time I touch the screen to try to zoom out, it wants to set the area I touch as a destination.

Okay will you have to do is put your two fingers in the screen that you and your finger put them together in the screen and separate your fingers if you go pinch separate got it

#2 Did they ever resolve the issues with the back up camera port?

No problem, mine has worked fine for over a year.

#3 What accessories do I need for me to get the maximum use out of this unit?

Pioneer makes a backup camera for this unit and there are several wiring kits you will need depending on if your vehicle has built in controls on the steering wheel if you want them to continue to work. You will also need to purchase the Sirius tuner in order for the satellite radio to work.

#4 Does it have a remote controls?

It does not have a remote and I have yet to find one by pioneer to work with it.

#5 Light in the cab during night time driving is a big downside to me. How well does this dim?

Pretty low, but you can even turn the display off while driving and operating it, which I do at night all the time.

#6 Does the latest firmware update give android auto support?

No I called them and they told me the newer model has the Android upgrade and they have no intention of upgrading this model.
