Frigidaire GLGF377CS Questions and Answers

#1 How do I use a griddle with my gas range/cooktop?

You can place either side of the griddle centered over the left side of the gas burners.

Preheat the griddle for 5 minutes on the medium to medium-low setting.

Slow preheat ensures even heat distribution during the cooking process.

DO NOT preheat the griddle on HI setting. Preheating on HI setting may warp the griddle and prevent even heat distribution.

#2 How can I clean my gas range/cooktop grates?

If you have cast iron grates, follow these steps:

Wash the grates in the dishwasher.
Coat the grates with a thin layer of cooking oil.
Bake the grates in the oven on 350˚F for 10 minutes.
If you have porcelain-coated grates, simply place them in the dishwasher and coat any unfinished areas with a thin layer of cooking oil after washing.

#3 Is it normal for a fan to come on while using my range and when does it stop running?

Yes, it is normal to hear your oven fan running when you turn on the oven including during preheat.

The fan helps circulate the oven temperatures and will come on and off during the baking process. The fan may stay on after you have finished baking and turned the oven off. The fan will stop once the internal temperature of the oven cools down.
