GE - General Electric PHB925ST1SS Questions and Answers

#1 What is the energy usage of this range? Is it a star energy product? What can I expect for a year?

This type of cooking element is more efficient than any other known at this time. I plan to put one of these units in my kitchen.

#2 There is a low buzzing sound coming from the control panel of my induction stove when it is shut off. Is this normal?

I recommend resetting the electronics by unplugging the unit or flipping the breaker for at least 5 minutes. (If you hear the sound while the power is off you will know that it is something else in your kitchen.)

It could be that you are hearing the cooling fan. The cooling fan will run after the oven has been turned off. If the fan runs for several hours you will want to contact service.

#3 is the melt setting a lower cooking temperature than the Low temperature setting on the stovetop range

The melt option is a lower setting than the low temperature option. Melt is ideal for melting chocolate as it provides a low gentle heat. I hope this helps.
