Water and Dust Resistance
The device is splash, water, and dust resistant and was tested under controlled laboratory conditions
with a rating of IP68 under IEC 60529. Splash, water, and dust resistance are not permanent
conditions, and resistance might decrease as a result of normal wear. Do not charge your device in
humid conditions. For details about this feature, please visit http://consumer.huawei.com/en/support.
Conditions for IP68 resistance level:
l S
tatic fresh water at a depth of 1.5 m
l Test duration: 30 minutes
l Temperature difference between the water and the device: no greater than 5°C
To prevent liquid damage, avoid the following:
l Exposing your device to pr
essurized or high velocity water. For example, carrying the device with
you when taking a shower, swimming, water skiing, or surng.
l Using the device in hot and humid conditions, such as in a sauna, spa, and bathroom.
l Exposing the device to liquids other than pure water. For example, seawater, pond water, salt water,
ionized water, beverages containing alcohol or sugar, cosmetic lotions, or detergents.
l Intentionally submerging the device or placing it in environments that may cause damage.
l Connecting the device to accessories or charging it when it is wet.
l Dropping your device or other impacts that may cause damage. Disassembling your device or
performing other destructive operations.
l Using the device when the card tray or slot is not properly inserted.
What should I do if my device gets wet?
l Avoid drying your device using external sources of heat (such as a hair dryer or microwave oven).
Avoid placing objects such as cotton swabs or tissue paper into the charging port or speaker holes.
l Immediately dry all surfaces of your device, and then place it in a well-ventilated and dry area. Place
your device in front of a fan. Let the fan blow cold air against the charging port and speaker holes.
