This manual provides instructions for the safe installation, operation, and maintenance of the Velieta 128 Can Beverage Refrigerator. This is a freestanding, compressor-cooled appliance designed for indoor use to store beverages. It has a 3.2 cubic foot capacity, a digital touch control panel, a reversible tempered glass door, and four removable/adjustable shelves.

Safety Information

Read all instructions before using the appliance.

  • Electrical Safety: Use a dedicated 115V/60Hz electrical outlet. Do not use an extension cord. Ensure the power cord is not pinched or damaged.
  • Placement: Place the unit on a flat, stable surface. Allow at least 2 inches of clearance on all sides for proper ventilation.
  • Environment: Use only in a dry, indoor location. Do not use outdoors or in areas exposed to water, rain, or direct sunlight.
  • Loading: Do not overload the unit. Distribute weight evenly on the shelves.
  • Child Safety: The door includes a lock. Use it to prevent unsupervised access by children.
  • Maintenance: Always unplug the unit before cleaning. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
WARNING: The refrigerant (R-600a) is flammable. Do not puncture the cooling system. If the refrigerant circuit is damaged, avoid open flames and ventilate the room.

Installation & Setup

Unpacking

  1. Carefully remove the unit from its packaging.
  2. Remove all tape and packaging materials from the interior and exterior.
  3. Check that all components are present: the main unit and bottom leveling feet.
  4. Inspect the unit for any signs of shipping damage. Do not plug in a damaged unit.

Choosing a Location

  • Place the unit on a strong, level floor capable of supporting its weight.
  • Ensure there is adequate space for the door to open fully.
  • Maintain at least 2 inches of clearance at the back and sides for air circulation.
  • Keep away from heat sources (ovens, radiators, direct sunlight).
  • The ambient room temperature should be between 55°F and 90°F for optimal performance.

Leveling the Unit

  1. Adjust the leveling feet at the bottom of the unit by turning them clockwise or counter-clockwise.
  2. Use a level to check the unit from front to back and side to side.
  3. A properly leveled unit ensures the door closes and seals correctly.

Reversing the Door (Stainless Steel Model Only)

Note: This feature is only available on the Stainless Steel model, not the Black model.

Tools Required: Phillips screwdriver, flathead screwdriver, hex key (may be included).

  1. Unplug the unit and empty all contents.
  2. Carefully lay the unit on its back on a soft, protected surface.
  3. Remove the hinge cover and screws from the top hinge.
  4. With assistance, carefully lift the door off the bottom hinge pin.
  5. Remove the plastic caps from the opposite side of the door and install them on the current hinge side.
  6. Transfer the hinge hardware (screws, brackets) to the opposite side of the cabinet.
  7. Carefully hang the door on the new bottom hinge pin.
  8. Re-attach the top hinge and cover.
  9. Stand the unit upright and check that the door opens, closes, and seals properly.

Initial Power On

  1. Before plugging in, ensure the interior is dry and the shelves are correctly positioned.
  2. Plug the power cord into a dedicated 115V outlet.
  3. The control panel and interior blue LED light should illuminate.
  4. Allow the unit to run empty for 2-4 hours to reach the set temperature before loading beverages.

Control Panel & Operation

The control panel is located on the front exterior of the unit, above the door.

Temperature Setting

  1. Press the Power button to turn the unit on or off.
  2. The digital display will show the current interior temperature in Fahrenheit (°F).
  3. To adjust, press the Temperature Up (▲) or Down (▼) buttons.
  4. The temperature can be set between 34°F and 64°F.
  5. The display will stop flashing after a few seconds, confirming the new set temperature.

Recommended Settings: 36°F-40°F for canned sodas/beer; 45°F-55°F for wine.

Interior Light

The soft blue LED interior light turns on automatically when the door is opened. It turns off when the door is closed.

Door Lock

The unit includes a key lock on the door handle. Use the provided key to lock the door, preventing unauthorized opening. Always remove the key after locking and store it in a safe place.

Shelves & Storage Configuration

Adjusting Shelves

  • The interior has eight vertical slots (four on each side) for shelf adjustment.
  • To remove a shelf, lift the front slightly and pull it straight out.
  • To insert a shelf, align the rear hooks with the desired slots, then lower the front into place.
  • Shelves can be configured to accommodate various beverage sizes (cans, bottles, etc.).

Capacity Guide

  • Maximum Capacity: Approximately 128 standard 12-oz aluminum cans.
  • Mixed Storage: The unit can hold a combination of cans, 12-oz bottles, and 750ml wine bottles. Adjust shelves as needed.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Regular Cleaning

  1. Unplug the unit from the electrical outlet.
  2. Remove all beverages and shelves.
  3. Wipe the interior with a soft cloth dampened with a mild detergent and warm water.
  4. Wipe the exterior, including the glass door and stainless steel surfaces, with a soft, damp cloth. Dry thoroughly.
  5. Clean the door gasket with water only to maintain its seal.
  6. Wash removable shelves with warm, soapy water. Dry completely before reinstalling.
  7. Plug the unit back in after the interior is completely dry.

Defrosting

This unit features an automatic, frost-free defrost system. No manual defrosting is required under normal operating conditions.

Long-Term Storage

  1. Unplug the unit.
  2. Remove all contents and shelves.
  3. Thoroughly clean and dry the interior as described above.
  4. Leave the door slightly ajar to prevent mold and odors.
  5. Store in a dry location.

Troubleshooting
