Overview

The Mengshen TH03 is a digital indoor/outdoor temperature and humidity monitor. It combines a thermometer, hygrometer, clock, alarm clock, and calendar in a single device. The large LCD screen displays current temperature and humidity percentages, along with time and date.

Use Guide

1. Power On and Initial Setup

1. Open the battery compartment on the back of the unit.
2. Insert one AAA battery (included) with correct polarity (+/-).
3. Close the battery compartment.
4. The device will power on and display initial readings.

2. Setting the Time and Date

1. Press the MODE button to cycle through the setting options: time, date, alarm.
2. When the desired field (e.g., hour, minute, month, date) is flashing, press the ADJ button to increase the value.
3. Press MODE to confirm and move to the next field.
4. Repeat until all settings are complete.

3. Selecting Temperature Unit (°C / °F)

1. Locate the small black button near the battery compartment (labeled °C/°F).
2. Press the button to toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit.

4. Selecting Time Format (12H / 24H)

1. While in time-setting mode, press the ADJ button to switch between 12-hour and 24-hour display.

5. Viewing MAX / MIN Values

• Press the MAX/MIN button (if available) to cycle through the current, maximum, and minimum recorded temperature and humidity values.
• To clear the stored MAX/MIN values, press and hold the MAX/MIN button for a few seconds (refer to the included manual for exact procedure).

6. Alarm Function

1. Press MODE until the alarm time is displayed and the hour digit flashes.
2. Use ADJ to set the alarm hour, then press MODE to set the minutes.
3. Press MODE again to confirm and exit. The alarm icon will appear on the display when the alarm is active.
4. To turn the alarm off, press the ALARM ON/OFF button (if available) or repeat the setting process to disable it.

7. Placement and Mounting

• Tabletop: Pull out the retractable stand on the back and place the device on a flat surface.
• Wall Mount: Use the hanging hole on the back to hang the device on a screw or nail.

8. Understanding Humidity Levels

Use the readings to assess indoor comfort:

• Dry: Humidity below 30%
• Comfortable: Humidity between 30% and 60%, temperature between 68°F and 79°F (20°C – 26°C)
• Wet: Humidity above 60%

Troubleshooting

• No display or faint display: Check that the battery is installed correctly and has sufficient charge. Replace the battery if necessary.
• Inaccurate readings: Ensure the device is not placed near heat sources, direct sunlight, or in areas with rapid air movement. Allow the sensor to stabilize for at least 15 minutes in the environment.
• Cannot change settings: Press and hold the MODE button to enter the setting mode. If the device is unresponsive, remove the battery, wait 10 seconds, and reinsert it.
• Alarm not sounding: Verify the alarm is set correctly and the alarm icon is displayed on the screen. Check that the battery is not low.

Care and Maintenance

• Clean the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use water, solvents, or abrasive cleaners.
• Store in a cool, dry place when not in use.
• Remove the battery if the device will not be used for an extended period.
• Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
