This Upright Convertible Freezer/refrigerator shelves can
hold upwards of 50lbs. More specifically, the 50lbs applies
directly to full-scale shelf areas. Half-scale shelf areas,
which are obviously smaller in size, are recommended to
only support up to 25lbs. The half-scale area refers to the
two bottom crispers.

From our appliance team, There are 4 shelves. The bottom
shelf is 18 inches in depth and the other 3 are 15 1/2 inches in
depth. All are 26 inches in width.

This will work in a garage. Per the owners manual, "For the
most efficient operation, the freezer should be located
where surrounding temperatures will not exceed 110°F
(43°C).
Temperatures of 32°F (0°C) and below will NOT affect
freezer operation. Additional compressor heaters are not
recommended."
