GE - General Electric GTUP240EM1WW Questions and Answers

#1 Need starting watts and running watts to purchase correct size generator. Would use washer - not dryer (not sure if starting watts this makes difference). Can't find information anywhere about starting watts if only plan on using washer for stack unit.

The running wattage for just the washer is 350W. Starting watts will be 2 to 3 times the running watts for a very brief amount of time.

We appreciate you checking with us, and we hope this information helps.

#2 How can I control this machine to do more rinsing?

We are happy to help.

To achieve more rinsing than a typical cycle will perform, utilize the "Quick Rinse" cycle after your load has completed its run. This will rinse and spin the load again.

#3 After initial wash draining & spinning, the water does not fill up to the same level as the wash cycle to agitate, takes very little water and goes directly to spin and repeats this cycle, then ends. Is this normal? Machine has always filled up for rinse

Thanks for reaching out. We're happy to help. The Department of Energy (DOE) sets standards for washer water usage. Over the years, the amount of allowable water usage has been reduced. With washers using less water and energy, you will no longer see a wash basket full of water. Most washers are now programmed with load sensing to adjust water levels based on the cycle and load size, so the amount of water used will vary.

We hope this helps.
