manufacturer. If you have questions, contact the

cannot be locked, securely fasten a prominent

1. You know you have a Class ABC extinguisher, and

2. The fire is small and contained in the area where it
started.
3. The fire department is being called.
4. You can fight the fire with your back to an exit.

TOP GREASE FIRE:
A. Never leave surface units unattended at high or
medium settings. Boilovers cause smoking and
greasy spillovers that may ignite. Heat oils slowly on
low or medium settings.
B. Always turn hood ON when cooking at high heat or
when flambéing food (i.e. Crepes Suzette, Cherries
Jubilee, Peppercorn Beef Flambé).
C. Clean ventilating fans frequently. Grease should not
be allowed to accumulate on fan or filter.
D. Use proper pan size. Always use cookware
appropriate for the size of the surface element.

B. Sufficient air is needed for proper combustion and
exhausting of gases through the flue (chimney) of fuel
burning equipment to prevent back drafting. Follow
the heating equipment manufacturer’s guideline and
safety standards such as those published by the
National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and
the American Society for Heating, Refrigeration and
Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), and the local
code authorities. When applicable, install any makeup
(replacement) air system in accordance with local
building code requirements. Visit Monogram.com for

C. When cutting or drilling into wall or ceiling, do not
damage electrical wiring and other hidden utilities.
D. Ducted fans must always be vented to the outdoors.

NOTE: Avoid using food products that produce flames
under the range hood.
1. ON/OFF. It remembers the last fan speed used (except
the highest fan speed—Boost).
2. Lowers the speed.
3. Increases the speed.
4. The highest speed, Boost, is “instant on” when the
power is on.
5. Delayed fan shut-off. Choose 5, 10 or 20 minutes by
pushing this button.
6. Light ON/OFF. It remembers the last light level used.
(Six light levels.)
7. Dims the light.
8. Brightens the light.
9. Clean indicator light illuminates after 30 hours of “on”
time to remind you to clean the metal grease filters.
The light stays on until the filters are replaced. If the
red light stays on and the filters are in, adjust the right-
side filter in place. The timer resets automatically.
10. Indicates the time the fan is set to run, before
automatically shutting off (5, 10 or 20 minutes).

CARE AND CLEANING
CHARCOAL FILTERS (on some models)
If the model is not vented to the outside, the air will be
recirculated through disposable charcoal filters that help
remove smoke and odors.
The charcoal filters should be replaced when they are
noticeably dirty or discolored (usually after 6 to 12
months, depending on hood usage).
NOTE: DO NOT rinse, or put charcoal filters in an
automatic dishwasher.
The charcoal filters cannot be cleaned. They must be
replaced.
Order Charcoal Filter Kit (3 filters) WB02X10731.
This kit can be ordered from your Monogram Supplier.
FOR YOUR SAFETY
Before servicing or cleaning the unit, switch power off at
the service panel and lock the service panel to prevent
power from being switched on accidentally.
If the service panel cannot be locked, fasten a tag or
prominent warning label to the panel.
METAL GREASE FILTER
Clean the grease filter after 30 hours of “on” time. A signal
light will alert you when 30 hours has passed.
Remove the grease filters and wash them either by hand or
in the dishwasher using non-abrasive soap.
To clean, swish the filters in hot, soapy water or wash them
in the dishwasher. Do not use abrasive cleansers.
HOOD SURFACES
Do not use a steel-wool pad; it will scratch the surface.
To clean the stainless steel surface, use warm, sudsy
water or a stainless steel cleaner or polish. Always wipe
the surface in the direction of the grain.
Follow the cleaner instructions for cleaning
the stainless steel surface. To inquire about purchasing

LIGHT BULBS
NOTE: The glass cover should be removed only when
cool.
CAUTION
Before replacing the bulb, disconnect
electrical power to the hood at the main fuse or circuit
breaker. Allow bulbs to cool before touching.
Be sure to let the light cover and bulb cool completely.
For safety, do not touch a hot bulb with bare hands or a
damp cloth.
To change the light bulbs:
1. Remove the lamp lens cover by inserting a small flat-
blade screwdriver into each of the three slots and gently
prying it free.
NOTE: Do not remove the outer trim ring (lamp assembly).
2. Grasp the bulb and pull it straight out.
3. Using gloves or a dry cloth, remove the new bulb from
the packaging. (Wearing latex gloves may offer a better
grip.) The bulb must be the same wattage, 120-volt,
25-watt halogen with a G-9 base. Early bulb failure may
occur if wattage is too high.
4. Push the bulb straight all the way into the receptacle.
5. Replace the lens cover by inserting the three retaining
tabs into the slots and pressing into place.
NOTE: For improved lighting, clean the glass cover
frequently using a damp cloth. This should be done when the
hood is completely cool.
6. Reconnect electrical power to the hood.
NOTE: Order replacement 120-volt, 25-watt halogen bulb
with G-9 base, WB25X10020.
These bulbs can be ordered from your Monogram supplier.
NOTE: Make sure the tabs are inserted into the slots.
ONLY use a new 120-volt, 25-watt halogen bulb with a
G-9 base.
NOTE: Do not touch the new halogen bulb with bare
fingers. Skin oils can cause early lamp failure.

Disconnect power to the unit. Lift the lower duct
cover and look at the blower connector plug.
If the blower connector plug is loose, plug it in
securely. See the Installation Instructions for the
plug location and how to plug in the connector.

Wrong size duct used in installation. This hood requires 6” ducting and a maximum
duct length of 100 equivalent feet to perform
optimally. Using smaller duct pipe or longer
equivalent lengths of duct pipe will cause

home use within the USA. If the product is located in an area where service by a Monogram Appliances Authorized
Servicer is not available, you may be responsible for a trip charge or you may be required to bring the product to an
Authorized Monogram Appliances Service location for service. In Alaska, the limited warranty excludes the cost of
shipping or service calls to your home.
Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages. This limited warranty

manufacturing defect.
What Monogram will not cover:

Servicing your range hood may require the use of the onboard data port for diagnostics. This gives a
Monogram Factory Service technician the ability to quickly diagnose any issues with your appliance and helps
Monogram improve its products by providing Monogram with information on your appliance. If you do not
want your appliance data to be sent to Monogram, please advise your technician NOT to submit the data to
Monogram at the time of service.

REMARQUE: Évitez d’utiliser des aliments qui produisent des
flammes sous la hotte aspirante.
1. ON/OFF (marche/arrêt). La dernière vitesse de ventilation est
gardée en mémoire (excepté la vitesse de ventilation la plus
élevée – Boost).
2. Abaisse la vitesse.
3. Augmente la vitesse.
4. La vitesse la plus élevée, Boost, peut être sélectionnée
immédiatement lorsque la hotte est sous tension.
5. Arrêt différé de la ventilation. Sélectionnez un délai de 5, 10
ou 20 minutes en appuyant sur cette touche.
6. Lumière ON/OFF (marche/arrêt). Garde en mémoire le
dernier niveau d’éclairage utilisé. (Six niveaux d’éclairage).
7. Abaisse la luminosité.
8. Augmente la luminosité.
9. Le voyant de nettoyage s’allume au bout de
30 heures d’utilisation pour vous rappeler de nettoyer les
filtres à graisse métalliques. Le voyant reste allumé jusqu’à
ce que les filtres soient remis en place. Si le voyant rouge
reste allumé et les filtres sont en place, ajustez le filtre du
côté droit. Le décompte se remet à zéro automatiquement.
10. Indique la durée de fonctionnement du ventilateur avant son
arrêt automatique (5, 10 ou 20 minutes).

POUR VOTRE SÉCURITÉ
Avant de procéder à l’entretien ou au nettoyage
de l’appareil, coupez l’alimentation électrique au niveau
du tableau de distribution et verrouillez-le pour éviter que
l’alimentation électrique ne soit accidentellement rétablie. Si
le tableau de distribution ne peut être verrouillé, attachez une
étiquette ou un avertissement visible au tableau.
FILTRES À CHARBON (sur certains modèles)
Si le modèle n’est pas équipé d’une évacuation d’air vers
l’extérieur, cet air sera recirculé au travers de filtres à charbon
jetables qui éliminent les fumées et les odeurs.
Les filtres à charbon doivent être remplacés dès que vous
remarquez qu’ils sont sales ou décolorés (en général, au bout de
6 à 12 mois suivant l’utilisation de la hotte).
REMARQUE: NE rincez PAS et NE lavez PAS les filtres à
charbon dans le lave-vaisselle.
Les filtres à charbon ne peuvent pas être nettoyés. Ils
doivent être remplacés.

FILTRE À GRAISSE MÉTALLIQUE
Nettoyez le filtre à graisse après 30 heures de fonctionnement.
Un voyant vous alertera lorsque les 30 heures de fonctionnement
se seront écoulées.
Retirez les filtres à graisse et lavez-les à la main ou au lave-
vaisselle à l’aide d’un détergent non-abrasif.
Pour les nettoyer, passez les filtres dans une eau chaude
savonneuse ou lavez-les dans le lave-vaisselle. N’utilisez pas de
détergent abrasif.
SURFACES DE LA HOTTE
N’utilisez pas de tampon en laine d’acier sous peine de rayer
les surfaces.
Pour nettoyer une surface en acier inoxydable, utilisez une
eau tiède savonneuse ou encore de la cire ou un nettoyant
spécialement conçu pour l’acier inoxydable. Nettoyez toujours la
surface dans le sens du grain.

REMARQUE : Le diffuseur ne doit être retiré qu’après
refroidissement.
ATTENTION
Avant de remplacer une ampoule,
débranchez la hotte de l’alimentation électrique au niveau du
fusible principal ou du disjoncteur. Laissez refroidir les ampoules
avant
de les toucher.
Laissez refroidir complètement le diffuseur ainsi que l’ampoule.
Par sécurité, ne touchez pas une ampoule chaude à mains nues
ou avec un chiffon mouillé.
Pour remplacer les ampoules:
1. Retirez le diffuseur en insérant un petit tournevis à tête plate
dans chacune des fentes pour l’extraire doucement.
REMARQUE: Ne retirez pas la garniture externe (ensemble
de la lampe).
2. Attrapez l’ampoule et tirez-la directement.
3. Retirez la nouvelle ampoule de son emballage en utilisant des
gants ou un chiffon sec. (L’utilisation de gants en latex permet
une meilleure prise). L’ampoule doit avoir la même puissance,
halogène de 120 volts, 25 watts à culots G-9. Un wattage
est trop élevé peut provoquer une défaillance précoce de
l’ampoule.
4. Enfoncez l’ampoule jusqu’à la butée dans le réceptacle.
5. Remettez le diffuseur en place en insérant les trois languettes
dans les fentes et en appuyant.
REMARQUE: Pour un éclairage plus performant, nettoyez
fréquemment le diffuseur à l’aide d’un chiffon humide. Ceci doit
être fait lorsque la hotte est refroidie.
6. Rebranchez l’alimentation électrique de la hotte.
REMARQUE: Commandez des ampoules halogènes de
remplacement de 120 volts,
25 watts avec un culot G-9, WB25X10020.

La mauvaise dimension de conduit a été
utilisée lors de l’installation.
Cette hotte nécessite un conduit de 15,2 cm (6 po) de diamètre
et une longueur maximale de conduit de 100 pieds équivalent
pour fonctionner correctement. L’utilisation d’un conduit
plus étroit ou d’une longueur trop importante conduira à une
mauvaise ventilation. Les techniciens de service Monogram ne
peuvent corriger ce problème si l’installation n’a pas été faite
correctement.

TENGA CUIDADO DE NO QUEMARSE. Si las llamas no se
apagan inmediatamente, EVACUE EL LUGAR Y LLAME AL
DEPARTAMENTO DE BOMBEROS.
B. NUNCA AGARRE UNA SARTÉN O UNA OLLA QUE SE

C. NO USE AGUA, incluyendo paños de cocina o toallas
humedecidas—esto hará que ocurra una explosión de
vapor violenta.
D. Use un extintor SOLAMENTE si:
1. Usted sabe que tiene un extintor Clase ABC, y si usted
ya sabe cómo operarlo.
2. El fuego es pequeño y está contenido al área donde
comenzó.
3. El departamento de bomberos ha sido llamado.

UN FUEGO DE GRASA DE ESTUFA:
A. Nunca deje unidades de superficie desatendidas en
configuraciones de calor elevadas o medias. Cuando
se está hirviendo algo y ocurren derramamientos, estos
podrían causar humo y que los derramamientos grasosos
se incendien. Caliente los aceites lentamente
a selecciones medias y bajas.
B. Siempre encienda la campana cuando cocine a fuego alto
o cuando flambee alimentos (Crepes Suzette, Cherries
Jubilee, Flambeado de Carne con Pimienta).
C. Limpie el ventilador con frecuencia. La grasa no debe
acumularse en el ventilador o en el filtro.
D. Use una sartén de tamaño apropiado. Siempre use piezas
de cocina apropiadas para el tamaño del elemento de la
superficie.

NOTA: No utilice elementos que generan llamas debajo de la
campana de cocina.
1. ON/OFF (encendido/apagado). Recuerda la última velocidad
del ventilador utilizada (con excepción de la velocidad de
ventilador más alta: Boost (impulso).
2. Baja la velocidad.
3. Aumenta la velocidad.
4. La velocidad más alta, Boost (impulso), se enciende en forma
instantánea cuando se acciona el encendido.
5. Apagado de ventilador retardado. Elija 5, 10
o 20 minutos presionando este botón.
6. Luz ON/OFF (encendido/apagado). Vuelve al último nivel de
luz utilizado. (Hay seis niveles
de luz).
7. Reduce la intensidad de la luz.
8. Aumenta la intensidad de la luz.
9. La luz indicadora de limpieza se ilumina después de 30 horas
de tiempo de funcionamiento para recordarle que debe limpiar
los filtros de grasa de metal. La luz permanece encendida
hasta que se cambien los filtros. Si la luz roja permanece
encendida y los filtros están dentro, ajuste el filtro del lado
derecho en su lugar. El temporizador se reconfigura en forma
automática.
10. Indica el tiempo configurado durante el cual funcionará el
ventilador, antes de apagarse en forma automática (5, 10 o
20 minutos).

PARA SU SEGURIDAD
Antes de realizar reparaciones o limpiar la unidad, desconecte la
energía del panel de servicio y bloquee éste último para evitar el
accionamiento de la energía de manera accidental. Si el panel de
servicio no puede bloquearse, coloque una etiqueta o cartel de
advertencia sobre el panel.
FILTROS DE CARBÓN (en algunos modelos)
Si el modelo no tiene ventilación al exterior, el aire se recirculará
a través de filtros de carbón desechables que ayudan a remover
humo y olores.
Los filtros de carbón deben cambiarse cuando estén visiblemente
sucios o decolorados (usualmente después de 6 a 12 meses,
dependiendo del uso de la campana).
NOTA: NO enjuague o coloque los filtros de carbón en el
lavavajillas automático.
Los filtros de carbón no pueden limpiarse. Deben cambiarse.

Puede solicitar este kit a su proveedor de Monogram.
FILTRO DE GRASA METÁLICO
Limpie el filtro de grasa después de 30 horas de funcionamiento.
Una luz indicadora lo alertará cuando hayan pasado 30 horas.
Quite los filtros de grasa y lávelos a mano o en
el lavavajillas utilizando jabón no abrasivo.
Para limpiar los filtros, introdúzcalos en agua caliente jabonosa
y sacúdalos o lávelos en el lavavajillas. No utilice productos de
limpieza abrasivos.
SUPERFICIES DE LA CAMPANA
No utilice almohadillas de acero porque rayan
la superficie.
Para limpiar la superficie de acero inoxidable, utilice agua tibia
jabonosa o un limpiador o lustrador para acero inoxidable.
Siempre limpie la superficie en dirección de la veta.
Siga las instrucciones del producto para limpiar la superficie de

BOMBILLAS DE LUZ
NOTA: La tapa de vidrio sólo debe quitarse cuando está fría al
tacto.
PRECAUCIÓN
Antes de cambiar la bombilla,
desconecte la energía eléctrica hacia la campana desde el
fusible principal o el interruptor de circuitos. Antes de tocarlas,
espere a que las bombillas se enfríen.
Verifique que la tapa de la lámpara y la bombilla se hayan
enfriado por completo.
Para mayor seguridad, no toque una bombilla caliente con las
manos desnudas o con un trapo húmedo.
Para cambiar las bombillas de luz:
1. Quite la tapa de la bombilla introduciendo un destornillador
plano dentro de las tres ranuras y liberándolas con cuidado.
NOTA: No quite el anillo exterior (montaje de la bombilla).
2. Tome la bombilla y tire directamente hacia afuera.
3. Retire la nueva bombilla de su envoltorio utilizando guantes o
un paño seco. (Para un mejor agarre, utilice guantes de látex).
La bombilla debe ser del mismo vataje, halógena de 120
voltios, 25 vatios con una base G-9. La bombilla puede fallar
en forma temprana si el vataje es muy elevado.
4. Empuje la bombilla en línea recta al interior del receptáculo.
5. Vuelva a colocar la tapa de la bombilla introduciendo las tres
lengüetas de retención dentro de las ranuras y presionando
firmemente en su lugar.
NOTA: Para una mejor iluminación, limpie la tapa de vidrio
frecuentemente con un paño húmedo. Esta operación debe
realizarse cuando la campana está completamente fría.
6. Reconecte la alimentación de energía a la campana.
NOTA: Solicite la bombilla halógena de repuesto
WB25X10020 de 120 voltios, 25 vatios con una base G-9.
Puede solicitar estas bombillas a su proveedor de Monogram.
NOTA: Asegúrese de que las lengüetas estén colocadas en las
ranuras.
SÓLO utilice una bombilla halógena nueva de 120 voltios, 25
vatios con una base G-9.

máxima de conducto de 100 pies equivalentes para funcionar

técnicos de Monogram no pueden corregir este problema si hay
una instalación inadecuada.
