#1 is the stainless steel option fingerprint resistant?

Only the Black Stainless Steel finish (*D-Black Stainless Steel)for the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 24 cu. ft. Top Mount Refrigerator, Model # LTCS24223* is fingerprint and smudge resistant. The Stainless Steel (*S-Stainless Steel) is not fingerprint or smudge resistant..

#2 Would this work In a garage ?

The ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 24 cu. ft. Top Mount Refrigerator, Model # LTCS24223W is not a "Garage Ready" refrigerator and it cannot be used in a garage. It has to be installed in an area that is between 55°F (13°C) and 110°F (43°C). If the surrounding temperature is lower or higher than previously mentioned, it can adversely affect the unit. Because garages aren’t insulated, you should only store a refrigerator in one if you live in an area with moderate temperatures. Cold weather may cause your fridge not to work at all, meaning your freezer section can thaw out. If you’re experiencing a heatwave, it can cause your refrigerator to work extra hard in order to keep food cold. If temperatures in your area dip to freezing levels or soar to temperatures above 100°F, you should move your refrigerator inside. Naturally, your garage is much dirtier than a kitchen. Over time, sawdust and other nameless debris can get stuck in a unit’s coils.

#3 Does this refrigerator require a combo AFCI breaker?

The ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 24 cu. ft. Top Mount Refrigerator, Model # LTCS24223S requires a dedicated adequately grounded outlet rated at 115V ~ 60Hz AC or 127V ~ 60Hz AC and fused at 15 or 20A according to the National Electric Code. The owner's manual advises not to connect the refrigerator to a GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) outlet. If the appliance is connected to a GFCI outlet, the outlet's circuit breaker could be tripped. If this problem occurs, you would need to reset the GFCI outlet's circuit breaker, and if the problem continues, you will need to contact a qualified electrician and replace the GFCI outlet with a non- GFCI outlet. Arc Fault Circuit Interrupters (AFCIs) are required by the National Electrical Code for certain electrical circuits in the home. 210.12 Arc-Fault Circuit-Interrupter Protection. (A) Dwelling Units states "All 120-volt, single-phase, 15- and 20-ampere branch circuits supplying outlets or devices installed in dwelling unit kitchens... shall be protected by any of the means described in 210.12(A)(1) through (6): AFCI protection is required for a refrigerator.". There is a major difference between the functioning of an AFCI as compared to a GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter). The function of the GFCI is to protect people from the deadly effects of electric shock that could occur if parts of an electrical appliance or tool become energized due to a ground fault. The function of the AFCI is to protect the branch circuit wiring from dangerous arcing faults that could initiate an electrical fire. AFCI and GFCI technologies can co-exist with each other and are a great complement for the most complete protection that can be provided on a circuit. You can consult with a qualified electrician to verify this.

#4 What is a pantry drawer?

As described in the 'Overview' for the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 24 cu. ft. Top Mount Refrigerator, Model # LTCS24223S, the Glide N’ Serve® Pantry Drawer is a drawer that allows you to store wide items with easier access. It can be used for large party trays, deli items, pizza, beverages, and miscellaneous items

#5 The fridge seems to be making very little ice. How often should ice drop into the bin? It is only 4 months old and still under warranty.

The ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 24 cu. ft. Top Mount Refrigerator, Model # LTCS24223S has a daily ice production of 3.7 lbs, about 100-130 cubes in a 24-hour period, depending on freezer compartment temperature, room temperature, number of door openings, and other operating conditions. Ice-making stops when the bin fills to the level of the feeler arm. If the refrigerator is not producing the normal amount of ice, your water pressure may be low. The water pressure for the refrigerator should be between 0,276 and 0,82 MPa or 40 and 120 PSI so you may need to have a qualified licensed plumber check your water pressure. You may also need to check that your replaceable built-in water filter is not clogged with contaminants. The water filter should be replaced every six months, but depending on your water quality, it may need to be replaced sooner than 6 months.
