Frigidaire FFGF3047LS Questions and Answers

#1 How can I clean my gas range/cooktop grates?

f you have cast iron grates, follow these steps:

Wash the grates in the dishwasher.
Coat the grates with a thin layer of cooking oil.
Bake the grates in the oven on 350˚F for 10 minutes.
If you have porcelain-coated grates, simply place them in the dishwasher and coat any unfinished areas with a thin layer of cooking oil after washing.

#2 What should I do if my gas flames are uneven or too high?

There are several steps you can try to resolve this issue. For more information, review the “Before You Call” section of your Owner’s Manual.

Check the following:

Burner caps are seated properly.
Moisture may be present after cleaning.
Burner slots or ports are not clogged.
Surface knob may be set too high.

#3 Is it normal for a fan to come on while using my range and when does it stop running?

Yes, it is normal to hear your oven fan running when you turn on the oven including during preheat.

The fan helps circulate the oven temperatures and will come on and off during the baking process. The fan may stay on after you have finished baking and turned the oven off. The fan will stop once the internal temperature of the oven cools down.
