Mr. Coffee JWTX95 Questions and Answers

#1 Does this coffee pot shut off on it own? We have one now we are looking to replace because it shuts itself off several times a day.

Yes it does shut off by itself. However the coffee this machine makes is good but just warm. I do not use it anymore becasue of this.

#2 Can I use mr coffee disposable water filters?

Yes, this coffee maker is compatible with the Mr. Coffee Water Filtration System.

#3 Does the top of the pot have to be touching he bottom of the brew basket for this pot to work or can there be a space between them?

If you like to pour a cup before mid brewing that the top needs to be touching the bottom of the basket. If it didn't the coffee would continue to pour when you remove the pot to pour your coffee. I believe all have this feature.

#4 It says it keeps it hot for two hours... does it have a old school type burner?

This does not have a warming plate. The coffee is 'supposed' to stay hot by virtue of being in a thermal container. That said, as soon as your pour a cup the rest starts to cool off. Clever idea, bad execution. I am returning it.

#5 Does it have a removable water reservoir? Completely necessary, in my book.

No. Decent coffee machine but must put in sink and spray hot water to clean once every week.

#6 Is the capacity of the coffee maker 8 or 12 cups? Both numbers are mentioned.

The maximum capacity is 8 cups. FYI: Mr Coffee's definition for a cup is 5 ounces and not the normal 8 ounces.
