The appliance does not
work
The appliance is not correctly plugged in. Check that the appliance is correctly
plugged in.
You have not yet pressed the On/Off
button.
Press the On/Off button.
You have pressed the On/Off button but
the appliance still doesn’t work.
Close the lid.
The appliance does not heat up. Take the appliance to an approved ser-
vice centre.
The chips are not crispy
enough
You have not followed the recommended
cooking time.
Leave the chips to cook for another few
minutes. Refer to the cooking table.
You are not using potatoes suitable for
chips.
Choose a variety of potato recom-
mended for chips.
The potatoes are not sufficiently washed
and dried.
Wash the potatoes for a long time to
remove excess starch, then drain and
dry them before cooking. They must be
completely dry.
The chips are too thick. Cut the chips thinner. The maximum
chips dimensions are 13mm x 13 mm.
There is not enough oil for the amount of
fresh chips being cooked.
Increase the amount of oil (refer to the
cooking table).
The food is not cooked
evenly all over
The food has been cut in different shapes
and sizes.
Cut the food so it is all the same size.
You have not used the paddle. Insert the paddle.
The paddle is in place but it does not turn. Reposition the paddle until it clicks. If
the problem persists, take the appliance
to an approved service centre.
Cooking liquids have
flowed into the base of
the appliance.
The maximum level has been exceeded. Observe the maximum level.
