#1 Can this be used like a crock pot?

This versatile skillet can be used for conveniently preparing a variety of foods such as stews, casseroles, steaks, sauteed meats, and even breakfast foods such as pancakes, french toast and omelets.

#2 Is this skillet completely immersible in water for cleaning?

No electric skillet I have ever owned is submersible. To wash it, you simply set it on its side in your dishwater with the heating element connection at the top so it stays out of the water.

#3 Is the ceramic coating cadmium-free?

Yes, this electric skillet is cadmium-free.

#4 Can you fry chicken in this skillet?

Yes, you can make fried chicken in this skillet. We recommend using no more than 4 tablespoons of oil.

#5 Is this really non-stick? I have been burned on the "Orgreenic" pans, that were worthless-even when seasoned per instructions. Pancakes and eggs?

It is pretty non-stick. You definitely want to use oil or eggs/pancakes will stick, but it works pretty well.
