#1 When unlocked via zwave, does it stay unlocked, or is there a time limit?

The lock will stay unlocked until you send a lock command. However I think there is a relock feature on the lock itself but, I haven't used it to know.

#2 Can one manage all codes and provide the codes via smartthings?

Yes, as long as you have the new app.

#3 Can I change codes from a z-wave controller rather than on the lock?

You can but it can be a little flakey at times... it doesn't always work. I am running micasaverde device to control a wave devices

#4 Does this lock work with Vivint?

Yes they do. I have bought 2 and they both have worked

#5 Can I change codes from a z-wave controller rather than on the lock?

I was able to add codes to the lock using my smartphone and Smarthings hub. It also appears to let you change codes that have been added manually, but i have not had to do this yet.

#6 How long does the battery last in the locking mechanism?

Depends on usage. I have medium usage on mine and normally 4 to 8 months with good quality batteries. My low usage ones locks last 6-8 months

#7 Does it connect to SimplySafe?

Haven't tried. I use wink hub

#8 Is auto lock a choice? I would like the option to disable auto lock at times.

To the best of my knowledge, you can turn the auto-lock option off.
