How to Remove Limescale
What is Limescale?
Spotting may occur inside your coffee pot; this is not mold or rust. This spotting is
called 'limescale,' minerals that have hardened onto a metal surface. A result of hot
metal and water interacting. It’s not harmful and can be reduced, but not eliminated.
Remove limescale with the following instructions:
Removing Limescale
1. Fill the coffee pot with a 50/50 solution of water and vinegar; soak for 1 hour.
2. After 1 hour, boil the solution in the coffee pot.
3. Once done boiling, empty the coffee pot and rinse it thoroughly.
4. If spotting persists, use the tougher side of a sponge to scrub affected areas.
We recommend cleaning your coffee pot once a month or more if spotting occurs
more regularly.
