#1 I have an old GFC851 continuous feed garbage disposal.
Plugs in to power. What new model should I get so piping
and hanging connections are similar.

We recommend replacing your GFC851 model disposal
with the current model GFC525N disposal, as they share
the same power connections which make for an easy
installation.

#2 Can the GFC525N disposall replace the GFC525V?

We are sorry you are having to replace your disposal, and
are happy to find a suitable replacement!
The model that you are replacing is an older model that we
do not manufacture anymore. However, both of these
models have a cord, are both continuously fed, have 1/2 HP,
and very similar dimensions. So yes, this new model will
make for a nice replacement!

#3 What is the difference between the GFC525N and GFC525V?

They are similar, but not identical. If you look at the owner's
manual, the 525V has slightly larger sink flange (5-3/16"). The
525N has 5-1/16" sink flange.
