Bosch DWK065G20T/07 Questions and Answers

#1 How do I clean stainless steel surfaces?

For normal stainless steel surfaces, use mild soapy water or a stainless steel cleaner with a soft cloth. Wipe in the direction of the stainless steel grain when washing and drying. Dry thoroughly and use a stainless steel conditioner to condition the surface. Bosch Stainless Steel Cleaning Powder and Conditioner can be purchased in the Bosch Accessories Store. WARNING: Some stainless steel cleaners are known to have negative effects on materials other than stainless steel. Do not use the Bosch Stainless Steel Cleaning Powder or Conditioner on control labels, markings, black stainless steel, or appliance interiors. For black stainless steel surfaces, do not use any stainless steel cleaners or conditioners including the Bosch Stainless Steel Cleaning Powder and Conditioner. The use of cleaners and conditioners may discolor the black stainless steel over time. Simply wipe down the surface with mild soapy water and a soft cloth and dry. Make sure to always wipe in the direction of the grain.

#2 How do I clean the metal grease filter in my hood?

Make sure the hood has completely cooled before removing and cleaning the filters. Refer to your owner's manual to learn how to remove the filters. Drain and wipe off excess grease on the filters with a dry paper towel. You can also use a degreaser to remove the grease. Soak the filters in hot water and detergent and gently use a brush to loosen food particles. Do not use products containing ammonia, abrasives, or oven cleaners. Rinse the filters and let them dry before placing them back into the hood. Filters can also be cleaned in a dishwasher. If using the dishwasher, make sure to wash the filter by itself. Washing the filters in a dishwasher may result in slight discoloration. We recommend cleaning grease filters every 1 to 3 months depending on usage. Degreaser and other cleaners can be purchased in our Bosch Accessories Store.
