Frigidaire FDB2000RFS Questions and Answers

#1 How do I set the delay start feature?

The Delay Start option allows you to automatically delay
starting your dishwasher for 1 to 24 hours. To activate the
Delay Start option, please reference your Owner’s Manual,
as the functionality may vary by model.
In most cases, you will simply activate the Delay Start
option by pressing DELAY START until the desired delay
time shows in the display window on your dishwasher.
Press START to start the delay option.
To cancel the DELAY START option and begin the cycle
before the delay period is over, press and hold
START/CANCEL for a few seconds and close the door.

#2 Can I adjust the rinse aid dosage used during a cycle on my
dishwasher?

Some of our models have a dial that can be adjusted for the
rinse aid dosage while others require you to use your control
pad. Since our models may vary, we recommend referencing
your Owner’s Manual to determine what is applicable to your
dishwasher.

#3 What are normal dishwasher operations sounds?

It is normal for you to hear the water filling in your
dishwasher along with water circulating and the motor
running. If you hear a knocking or banging sound, check to
ensure you do not have dish, pot, pan, or utensil causing the
spray arm to circulate improperly.
For models equipped with the fan-assisted Even Dry or
Perfect Dry system, it's normal to hear the fan operate at
various times during the cycles.

#4 What do I do if my dishwasher is showing a message code?

The display window of your dishwasher may show the
following activity:
1-24: the number of delay start hours. The last hour will
count down in minutes.
1-199: the number of minutes left in a cycle.
L0-L6: the level of rinse aid dosage on some models.
CL or Close the door: reminds you the door need to be
closed to start the cycle.
LOC: indicates the door is locked.

#5 What should I do if my dishwasher is not starting?

If your dishwasher is not starting, we recommend you
check the following:
- Make sure you have not inadvertently set DELAY START
or CHILD LOCK.
- Make sure you have pressed START/CANCEL after
selecting your cycles.
- Make sure you have closed door immediately to avoid
having to reselect your cycle/options. If you added a
forgotten item or interrupted the cycle, you may need to
press START again for the cycle to resume once you close
the door.
- Make sure the dishwasher door is properly closed.
- Make sure your water supply is turned on.

#6 How can I ensure the best cleaning results?

For the best cleaning performance, we recommend your
water heat is set for a minimum of 120 degrees. If
uncertain if your water is the appropriate heat, check the
water heater's temperature reading.
To help ahieve the desired temperature, try letting water run
in your sink until it’s hot. This "primes the pump" – it gets
hotter water to your dishwasher faster. (Your dishwasher
uses about 3-4 gallons per cycle, limiting the opportunity
the water has to warm up if it doesn’t start off hot enough.)
Low water pressure may also contribute to your cleaning
results. If water is being used elsewhere in your home at
the same time (ex. showers, laundry), you may need to wait
until water use is reduced before starting your dishwasher.
Some dishwasher models offer a Sanitize Rinse option,
which delivers higher heat for maximum drying and
ensures a 99.999% reduction of bacteria (as certified by the
NSF). We also recommend using rinse aid (such as
Cascade Rinse Aids), which helps to eliminate spots and
residue.
