Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular Cleaning

  • Wipe the exterior of the dispenser with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  • Regularly clean the lid and spigot area to prevent buildup.

Deep Cleaning the Reservoir

  1. Remove the filter and set it aside.
  2. Wash the reservoir with mild dish soap and warm water. Use a soft bottle brush if needed.
  3. Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue.
  4. Reinstall the filter and prime with water as described in the Initial Setup.

Troubleshooting

  • Water is not dispensing / Slow flow: Check that the filter is properly installed and not expired. A clogged, old filter is the most common cause.
  • Water tastes unusual: Ensure you have primed a new filter correctly. Confirm the filter has not exceeded its recommended lifespan.
  • Lid is difficult to close: Ensure the filter is fully seated and not obstructing the lid.
  • Leaking from spigot: Ensure the spigot lever is fully returning to the closed position. Check for debris obstructing the seal.

Safety and Compliance

  • Use only with cold tap water. Do not use with hot water.
  • Use only genuine Brita Standard (OB03) or Elite (OB06) filters. The use of non-Brita filters is not recommended.
  • Do not place near heat sources or in direct sunlight.
  • Keep out of reach of small children.
  • For compliance information, refer to the Certificate of Compliance available from the manufacturer.
