2. Product Features & Components
2.1 Main Controls and Indicators
- Variable Temperature Dial (Black Dial): Located on the top of the gun. This is a rheostat-type control that allows you to set the output temperature anywhere between 50°C and 600°C.
- Airflow Mode Switch (High/Low Switch): Located on the handle. This rocker switch controls the fan speed and air volume.
- Mode I (Low): 50°C - 450°C, 190-210 L/min airflow. Suitable for delicate tasks and lower temperature applications.
- Mode II (High): 50°C - 600°C, 250-500 L/min airflow. Provides maximum power and heat for heavy-duty tasks.
- Power Cord: Standard AC power cord. Ensure your outlet matches the tool's voltage requirements.
- Overload Protection: An internal safety feature that automatically shuts off the tool if internal temperatures become excessively high, protecting the tool and your electrical circuit.
2.2 Nozzles and Accessories
Each nozzle directs heat for specific applications. Allow the gun to cool before attaching or removing nozzles.
- Reflector Nozzle: Spreads heat over a wide area. Ideal for paint stripping or thawing.
- Deflector Nozzle: Redirects heat at a 90-degree angle for working in corners or tight spaces.
- Large & Small Concentrator Nozzles: Focuses heat into a small, intense spot for tasks like soldering/desoldering, shrinking tubing, or plastic welding.
- Glass Protection Nozzle: Used to evenly distribute heat when working on glass to prevent cracking (e.g., phone screen repair).
- Handheld Scraper & Putty Knife: For paint removal, scraping, and spreading materials after heating.
3. Use Guide
3.1 Initial Setup
- Inspect the tool and cord for any damage. Do not use if damaged.
- Clear your work area of clutter and flammable materials.
- Put on appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): heat-resistant gloves and safety glasses.
- Select the appropriate nozzle for your task and attach it to the front of the gun while it is cool and unplugged. Twist gently to secure.
- Ensure the Variable Temperature Dial is turned to the minimum (fully counter-clockwise).
- Plug the power cord into a grounded outlet.
3.2 Operating Instructions
- Set Airflow Mode: Choose Mode I (Low) or Mode II (High) using the switch on the handle based on your required temperature range and airflow.
- Set Temperature: Turn the black Variable Temperature Dial clockwise to your desired setting. Refer to the application chart below for guidance. Start at a lower temperature and increase as needed.
- Power On: The tool will begin heating immediately. The fan will start, and hot air will exit the nozzle within seconds.
- In-Use:
- Always keep the gun moving over the work surface to avoid concentrating heat in one spot, which can cause damage or fire.
- Maintain a distance of 2-5 cm from the workpiece, adjusting based on temperature and material.
- Use the provided scraper or putty knife as needed while the material is heated and pliable.
- Power Off & Cooling:
- Turn the Temperature Dial back to minimum (counter-clockwise).
- Switch the Airflow Mode switch to the "O" (off) position, if applicable. Unplug the tool.
- Let the tool run in a cool, safe place for 1-2 minutes on a low setting to cool the internal components before switching off (if your model supports cool-down). Otherwise, simply unplug and place the gun on a heat-resistant surface with the nozzle pointing upward and away from objects.
- Allow the gun to cool completely before handling or storing.
💡 Tip: Fast Heating
The double heating wire design allows the gun to reach high temperatures rapidly. Be prepared to begin your work shortly after switching on.
3.3 Common Applications & Temperature Guide
| Application |
Suggested Temperature |
Suggested Nozzle |
Notes |
| Shrinking heat shrink tubing |
150°C - 250°C |
Concentrator (Small) |
Keep the gun moving to avoid burning the tubing. |
| Removing paint |
300°C - 450°C |
Reflector or Scraper |
Use Mode II. Heat paint until it bubbles, then scrape. |
| Softening plastics for bending (e.g., PVC pipe) |
200°C - 300°C |
Reflector |
Heat evenly until pliable, then shape. |
| Thawing frozen pipes |
50°C - 150°C |
Reflector |
Use low temperature and keep a safe distance from the pipe. |
| Desoldering electronic components |
350°C - 400°C |
Concentrator (Small) |
Use with caution to avoid damaging circuit boards. |
| Drying surfaces |
50°C - 100°C |

Concentrator |
Apply heat directly to the metal, then attempt to loosen. |
| Crafts & Embossing |
100°C - 200°C |
As required |
Always test on a scrap piece first. |
4. Care, Maintenance & Storage
- Cleaning: Ensure the tool is completely cool and unplugged. Wipe the exterior with a dry cloth. Use a soft brush to clear dust from the air intake grilles. Do not use liquids or solvents.
- Nozzle Care: Nozzles may become discolored with use; this is normal. Clean any debris from inside nozzles after they have cooled.
- Storage: Store in a dry, cool place. Loop the power cord loosely; do not wrap tightly around the gun. It is recommended to store the tool and accessories in the original box or a suitable case.
- Cord Inspection: Regularly inspect the power cord for cuts, abrasion, or damage. Do not use if the cord is damaged.
- Ventilation: Never block the air intake (rear) or exhaust (front) during use or storage.
5. Troubleshooting
| Problem |
Possible Cause |
Solution |
| Tool does not power on / no heat |
Not plugged in. Faulty outlet. Overload protection has tripped. |
Check plug and outlet. Allow tool to cool completely for 30-60 minutes, then try again. If problem persists, discontinue use. |
| Heat output is low or inconsistent |
Temperature dial set too low. Air intake or nozzle is blocked. Incorrect airflow mode. |
Increase temperature setting. Ensure vents and nozzle are clear. Check that the High/Low switch is in the correct position for your desired temperature range. |
| Tool shuts off unexpectedly during use |
Overload protection activated due to overheating. |
This is a safety feature. Turn the dial to minimum, unplug the tool, and allow it to cool completely in a well-ventilated area for at least 30 minutes before attempting to use again. Ensure vents are not blocked. |
| Unusual noise or smell |
Foreign object in fan or air path. Internal component failure. |
Immediately unplug the tool. Allow to cool and inspect for obstructions. If noise/smell persists, discontinue use. |
| Nozzle is stuck |
Tool was not allowed to cool before removal. |
Allow the tool to cool completely. Use heat-resistant gloves to gently twist and remove. Do not use excessive force. |
