Use Guide

Package Contents

  • NEWBULIG Mini Fridge unit
  • AC power cord
  • DC power cord

Initial Setup and Placement

  1. Choose a Location: Place the mini fridge on a stable, flat, and level surface such as a desk, countertop, or car floor.
  2. Provide Ventilation: Ensure at least 2-4 inches of clear space on all sides (especially the rear) for proper airflow and heat dissipation. Do not place it inside an enclosed cabinet.
  3. Interior Preparation: Remove all packaging materials from inside the fridge. Wipe the interior with a clean, damp cloth and let it dry completely before use.

Power Connection

For Home/Office Use (AC Power):

  1. Plug the provided AC power cord into the power input port on the back of the mini fridge.
  2. Plug the other end into a standard 120V household electrical outlet.
  3. The unit will begin operating once powered.

For Car Use (DC Power):

  1. Plug the provided DC power cord into the power input port on the back of the mini fridge.
  2. Plug the other end into your vehicle's 12V DC power outlet (cigarette lighter socket).
  3. Ensure your vehicle's engine is running or the ignition is in the accessory position to avoid draining the car battery.

Note: Use only one power source at a time. Do not connect both the AC and DC cords simultaneously.

Operating the Mini Fridge

  1. Turning On: The fridge begins cooling automatically when connected to a power source. You may hear a faint fan noise, which is normal.
  2. Loading Items: Open the door by pulling the handle. Place items inside. The removable shelf can be used to organize contents or removed for taller items.
    • Typical Capacity: Holds approximately six 12-oz beverage cans or various small bottles, snacks, and skincare products.
  3. Temperature Adjustment: If your model has an adjustable thermostat, use the control dial (usually located inside or on the back) to set the desired cooling level. Allow several hours for the temperature to stabilize after adjustment.
  4. Door Operation: Close the door firmly to ensure a proper seal for efficient cooling.

Cleaning and Maintenance

  1. Unplug the Unit: Always disconnect the power cord before cleaning.
  2. Defrosting (If Needed): This model uses a manual defrost system. If frost builds up, unplug the unit, remove all contents, and leave the door open to allow frost to melt. Wipe away water with a soft cloth.
  3. Cleaning Interior and Exterior: Use a soft cloth dampened with a mild detergent or a mixture of water and baking soda. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  4. Drying: Ensure all surfaces are completely dry before plugging the unit back in and resuming use.
  5. Long-Term Storage: If not using for an extended period, unplug the unit, clean and dry the interior thoroughly, and leave the door slightly ajar to prevent odors.

Troubleshooting

  • Unit is not cooling:
    • Check that the power cord is securely connected to both the fridge and the outlet.
    • Verify the power source is active (e.g., outlet has power, car ignition is on).
    • Ensure the ventilation space around the unit is not blocked.
  • Unit is making noise: A low humming or fan sound is normal during operation. Ensure the unit is on a stable surface to prevent vibration.
  • Condensation forms on the exterior: This can occur in high-humidity environments. It is usually normal. Wipe it away with a dry cloth.
  • Interior is not as cold as expected:
    • Avoid frequently opening the door.
    • Do not overload the unit; allow air to circulate around contents.
    • Ensure the door is closing completely and the seal is clean.
    • Note: This thermoelectric cooler is designed for cooling, not for freezing items. It cools to a limited temperature range below ambient temperature.
