Before First Use

  1. Remove all packaging materials and stickers from the kettle and power base.
  2. Wash the removable lid/filter (if applicable) and the interior of the kettle with warm water and a mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  3. Fill the kettle to the MAX mark with fresh water, boil, and then discard the water. Repeat this process twice to remove any residual manufacturing dust.
  4. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.

Use Guide

Filling the Kettle

  1. Ensure the kettle is disconnected from the power base.
  2. Open the lid by pressing the button (if present) or lifting it.
  3. Fill with the desired amount of fresh, cold water. The water level must be between the MIN (0.5L) and MAX (1.8L) marks visible inside the kettle.
  4. Do not overfill. Water may spill out during boiling if filled above the MAX mark.
  5. Close the lid securely.

Boiling Water

  1. Place the kettle firmly onto the dry power base.
  2. Plug the power cord into a wall socket.
  3. Press the On/Off switch down to the 'I' position. The power indicator light will turn on, indicating the heating element is active.
  4. The kettle will automatically switch off once the water has boiled. You may hear a click.
  5. The power indicator light will turn off. You can now lift the kettle from the base to pour.
  6. To stop boiling manually, press the switch up to the 'O' position.

Note: Wait at least 30 seconds before re-boiling to allow the auto-shutoff mechanism to reset.

Pouring

  • Hold the kettle by its handle.
  • Pour slowly to avoid splashing.
  • Ensure the lid is closed during pouring to prevent hot water or steam from escaping from the top.

After Use

  • Unplug the power base from the wall socket.
  • If not using immediately, empty any remaining water from the kettle.

Cleaning and Maintenance

WARNING: Always ensure the kettle is disconnected from the power supply and has cooled down completely before cleaning.

Exterior Cleaning

Wipe the outer body and power base with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive pads, scouring powders, or chemical cleaners.

Interior Cleaning

Regularly descale the kettle to remove mineral deposits (limescale) which can affect performance and taste.

  1. Fill the kettle to the MAX mark with a mixture of equal parts white vinegar and water.
  2. Let the solution stand in the kettle for 1 hour (do not boil).
  3. Discard the solution and rinse the kettle thoroughly with clean water.
  4. Fill with clean water, boil, and discard. Repeat the boiling and discarding process 1-2 times to remove any vinegar taste.

Frequency: Descaling frequency depends on water hardness. In areas with hard water, descaling every 1-2 months is recommended.

Lid and Filter

Clean the inner lid and filter under running water to remove any residue. These parts are not dishwasher safe.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Kettle does not turn on / no indicator light. Not plugged in. Switch not pressed. Power outage. Check power connection. Ensure switch is pressed down. Check household power.
Water takes too long to boil. Limescale build-up. Overfilling. Descale the kettle. Ensure water level is at or below MAX.
Kettle switches off before water boils. Boil-dry protection activated (insufficient water). Let kettle cool for 2 minutes. Refill with water above MIN mark and operate again.
Steam/water escapes from lid. Lid not closed properly. Ensure lid is securely closed before switching on.
Unusual smell during first use. Normal for new appliances. Perform the "Before First Use" boiling and discarding process 2-3 times.
