4.1 Main Components

  • On/Off Power Switch: Located on the body. Must be switched to 'On' for the tool to operate.
  • Safety Contact Tip (Nose): The front metal tip. The tool will only fire when this tip is pressed firmly against the work surface.
  • Trigger: Squeeze to fire a nail or staple once the safety contact is engaged.
  • Power Adjustment Dial: Allows adjustment of driving force based on material thickness and fastener length.
  • Magazine: Holds a strip of nails or staples. Loads from the rear.
  • Overmolded Soft Grip: Provides comfort and reduces hand fatigue.
  • Non-Marring Nose Tip: Designed to minimise marks on the work surface.

5. Use Guide

  2. Ensure the work area is clean, well-lit, and free of obstructions.
  3. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (safety glasses are recommended).
  4. Keep the power cord away from the driving area and sharp edges.

5.2 Loading Fasteners (Nails or Staples)

  1. Ensure the tool is unplugged from the mains.
  2. Slide the magazine release or open the magazine compartment at the rear of the tool.

5.3 Operating the Tool

  1. Plug in the tool to a suitable mains power socket.
  2. Turn the On/Off switch to the 'On' position.
  3. Place the safety contact tip firmly against the workpiece at the desired fastening point.
  4. While maintaining pressure on the contact tip, squeeze the trigger to drive the fastener.
  5. For best results and increased driving force, use two-handed operation: one hand on the grip, the other applying pressure to the top of the tool.

Note: The tool will not fire unless the safety contact tip is fully depressed. This is a safety feature to prevent accidental firing.

5.4 Power Adjustment

Use the power adjustment dial to match the driving force to your material:

  • Turn towards a higher setting for thicker materials or longer fasteners.
  • Turn towards a lower setting for thinner materials or shorter fasteners to avoid over-driving.
  • Test on a scrap piece of the same material first.
