Important Safety and Caution Information:
- Do not fill the water tank completely. Leave some gap to allow for steam expansion.
- Wait for the iron to heat up sufficiently before using the steam function for effective results.
- To prevent water leakage, always keep the iron in a horizontal position when not in use.
- Steam irons undergo testing during manufacturing. You may find some residual water droplets inside the water tank upon first use; this is normal.
- Always unplug the iron before filling with water or cleaning.
- Use only clean, tap water. Do not use chemically descaled, perfumed, or distilled water unless specified.
- Keep the iron and its cord out of reach of children.
- Do not leave the iron unattended while it is plugged in or resting on the ironing board.
Use Guide
Before First Use
- Remove all packaging materials and stickers from the soleplate and body.
- Fill the water tank using the provided cup. Do not exceed the maximum fill line.
- Plug the iron into a standard 240V, 50Hz electrical outlet.
- Set the temperature control dial to the maximum setting and allow the iron to heat up for 2-3 minutes in a horizontal position. You may notice a slight smell or smoke initially; this is normal for a new appliance.
- Iron an old piece of cloth to clean the soleplate.
Filling the Water Tank
- Unplug the iron and set it upright on its heel rest.
- Open the water inlet cap.
- Use the provided cup to pour water into the tank. Do not overfill.
- Close the cap securely.
Setting the Temperature
Turn the temperature control dial to match the fabric you are ironing:
- • (Low): Synthetic fabrics (Nylon, Acrylic, Polyester)
- •• (Medium): Silk, Wool
- ••• (High): Cotton, Linen
Always check the garment's care label first.
Using the Steam Functions
Continuous Steam: Ensure the iron is hot enough (usually medium to high settings). Press and hold the steam button (if present) or the steam will activate automatically at the correct temperature.
Steam Burst (Shot): Press the steam burst button for an intense shot of steam to tackle tough wrinkles. This function also works when holding the iron vertically.
Vertical Steaming: Hang the garment. Hold the iron vertically, a short distance from the fabric, and press the steam burst button.
Auto-Clean Function
To prevent clogging from mineral deposits, use the auto-clean function regularly, especially in hard water areas.
- Fill the water tank to half with clean tap water.
- Plug in the iron and set the temperature to maximum.
- Hold the iron over a sink or basin.
- Once the iron is hot, unplug it. Press and hold the auto-clean button (if dedicated) or follow the specific manual instructions to activate the cleaning cycle. Steam and hot water will flush out through the soleplate.
- Repeat with clean water if necessary. Let the iron cool completely before storing.
Care and Maintenance
- Always empty the water tank after use and store the iron horizontally in a dry place.
- Wipe the soleplate and outer body with a soft, damp cloth when cool. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
- To remove starch or other residue from the soleplate, use a non-abrasive cleaning paste on a cool soleplate, then wipe clean.
- Never immerse the iron in water or any other liquid.
- Regularly use the auto-clean function as described to maintain optimal steam performance.
